A structured five-step process designed for transparency, quality, and speed. From identifying the right manufacturers to delivering palletized finished goods.

Overview

How We Manage Your Private Label Program

Launching a private label snack program involves coordinating product sourcing, cost alignment, packaging development, production quality, and logistics. At L'Orenta, we manage this entire workflow through a structured five-step process that gives brands clear visibility into every stage — from the initial sourcing conversation through ongoing reorders.

Our process is designed for brands that want a single partner to handle the complexity of bringing private label snack products to retail shelves. Whether you are launching your first SKU or expanding an existing program across candy, nuts, snack mixes, and seasonal programs, the process below applies consistently to every product category we co-pack.

Step 01

Product Sourcing

Identifying the Right Manufacturers

Every private label program begins with product sourcing. Our sourcing team identifies qualified manufacturers from our approved supplier network that match your product specifications, quality standards, and target cost structure.

We evaluate potential suppliers based on food safety certifications, production capabilities, product consistency, and track record. For established product categories like roasted nuts, gummy candy, or standard trail mixes, we typically have multiple qualified sources ready to go. For specialty or custom products, we conduct targeted supplier searches and qualification audits.

This step ensures that the products entering our facility — and ultimately reaching your retail shelves — come from manufacturers that meet the quality and food safety standards expected by your retail partners.

Step 02

Cost & Specification Alignment

Finalizing Product Details and Pricing

Once a qualified source is identified, we work with you to finalize product specifications — including ingredients, flavor profiles, weight targets, and packaging requirements. Our team provides transparent cost breakdowns covering raw materials, packaging materials, co-packing fees, and freight.

This step ensures alignment on all product details before production begins. We document agreed specifications in a product brief that serves as the reference document for incoming quality inspection, packaging setup, and ongoing production runs. Any changes to specifications are managed through a documented change process to maintain consistency.

For brands running multi-SKU programs or seasonal rotations, this phase also includes planning for product transitions, packaging changeovers, and inventory management to ensure efficient production scheduling.
