Where It All Began
In 1934, our great-great-grandfather founded De Schaap B.V. by purchasing a small nut store in Amsterdam. Noticing the lack of quality across the marketplace, he set out to create a new standard for gourmet treats — where every visit was an experience of in-store roasted nuts, quality products, and genuine hospitality.
Under our grandfather's leadership, De Schaap grew to thousands of stores across Europe, expanding into production facilities, quality labs, and import/export operations through Hocorn B.V. — which remains an industry leader in Europe today.
